Acceptance of these terms

By creating an account or using Hearing Minds, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

The service

Hearing Minds is a platform that connects users with independent professional counselors. Hearing Minds provides the technology for booking sessions, chatting, mood tracking, and journaling. Counseling is provided by independent counselors, not by Hearing Minds.

Not a medical provider

Hearing Minds is not a medical provider and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. The content on the platform is for general wellness support and is not a substitute for professional medical care. If you are in immediate danger, call local emergency services (100 in Nepal) or the national crisis helpline 1166.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use the service.

Accounts and acceptable use

You are responsible for your account and for keeping your login details secure. You agree not to:

• Harass, threaten, or abuse other users.
• Post or send illegal, harmful, or hateful content.
• Impersonate another person.
• Attempt to access another user account or our systems without permission.
• Use the service in a way that breaks the law or these terms.

Counselors

Counselors listed on Hearing Minds are verified by our team and practice independently. Verification confirms the credentials a counselor submits; it is not a guarantee of any particular outcome. You choose your counselor and are responsible for your relationship with them.

Sessions and payment

Bookings are reviewed and confirmed by our team. Payment instructions are shared after a booking is confirmed. Refunds are handled by our support team. Do not send payment before a booking is confirmed.

User content and moderation

Chat is private between two users. You are responsible for the content you send. Reports can be submitted from the chat screen. We may review reported content and may suspend or remove accounts that break these terms or put other users at risk.

Intellectual property

Hearing Minds and its logos, design, and software are owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy or reuse them without permission. You keep ownership of the content you create, and you give us permission to use it to operate the service.

Termination

You may stop using the service at any time and can delete your account from the app or through our account deletion page. We may suspend or terminate your access if you break these terms or if we need to protect other users or the platform.

Disclaimers

The service is provided on an as-is and as-available basis. We do not promise that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that it will meet your needs.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Hearing Minds is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Nepal. Disputes are subject to the courts of Nepal.
